THE ORION SALES PROCESS

IN 20 MINUTES

PLAN YOUR ROUTE

Team Members have the use of custom Orion Fire designed tools and applications that allow the team member to easily assess what areas, also referred to as "zones", are ready to be checked. Tools are user friendly and easy to setup on a mobile device.

Team Members are encouraged to use these tools prior to leaving for work each day to determine the best possible route. There is never a shortage of zones, which means there is never a shortage of work.

OFFER A COURTESY CHECK (2 MINUTES)

Once the team member has selected a zone, they would drive to the location and offer a "Courtesy Check" of the fire extinguishers to all businesses within that zone. The courtesy check is completely optional, as Orion Fire Team Members are NOT GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS; however, approximately 90% + of the time the business is still happy to have their fire extinguishers checked.

The size of zones range from approximately 10 - 100 businesses per zone suggesting that a team member may select a zone to work in for a few hours or several days.

STEP #3. LOCATE THE EXPIRED EQUIPMENT

LOCATE EXTINGUISHERS (3 MINUTES)

Once the place of business has approved the courtesy check, the Orion Team Member will then locate the fire extinguishers. For some places of business, the extinguishers are hanging on the required brackets and easy to spot, other times the extinguishers are ... let's just say it can turn into an Easter Egg Hunt. More often than not, when extinguishers are hidden, they are also expired and due for service. This makes the scavenger hunt exciting!

EDUCATE & SERVICE (10 MINUTES)

Once the expired fire extinguishers have been located, the Team Member returns to the Manager/Owner to explain what they found. A big part of being an Orion Fire Team Member involves taking the time to effectively educate the place of business on the requirements when it comes to fire extinguishers. For many places of business, it may be the first time anyone has shown them how to use the fire extinguisher or what the proper maintenance intervals are. For the Orion Fire Team Member, taking the time to properly educate the business is key to servicing the equipment, as the place of business now relies on the Orion Team Member to get back up to compliance with their fire extinguishers.

STEP #5. GET PAID

COLLECT INVOICE AND PAYMENT (5 MINUTES)

Once the service has been approved and completed, the Orion Team Member returns to the Manager / Owner to complete the invoice and collect payment. Once invoices and payments have been turned in by a Team Member, pay is calculated and direct deposited into the Team Members bank account every other Friday.
